Denon DRA-900H 2.2-Channel Network Stereo Receiver
The Denon DRA-900H is a high-performance 2.2-channel network stereo receiver designed for listeners who want traditional two-channel Hi-Fi sound combined with modern television, gaming, streaming and high-resolution audio connectivity. With discrete high-current amplification, HEOS Built-in, advanced 8K HDMI connectivity and an integrated Moving Magnet phono stage, it can serve as the central component of a premium music and entertainment system.
The DRA-900H incorporates two discrete power amplifier channels and delivers 100W + 100W into 8-ohm loudspeakers from 20Hz to 20kHz at 0.08% THD with both channels driven. It is also rated at 120W + 120W into 6 ohms at 1kHz with 0.7% THD. Loudspeakers with nominal impedances from 4 to 16 ohms are supported, allowing the receiver to work with a broad range of bookshelf and floorstanding speaker systems.
Unlike a conventional stereo amplifier, the DRA-900H also incorporates advanced HDMI video connectivity. Six HDMI inputs and one HDMI output allow sources such as Blu-ray players, media streamers, televisions and gaming consoles to be integrated into a two-channel audio system. The receiver supports 8K video pass-through, 8K upscaling of compatible 4K content, HDCP 2.3, HDR, HLG, Dynamic HDR, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. HDMI eARC and ARC simplify television audio playback through a single HDMI connection.
HEOS Built-in provides network music streaming and multi-room functionality. The DRA-900H can access compatible streaming services and music stored on network servers while also integrating with other HEOS-enabled products around the home. Wi-Fi, wired Ethernet, Bluetooth and Apple AirPlay 2 provide additional wireless and network playback options.
High-resolution audio playback includes support for FLAC, WAV and ALAC files at resolutions up to 192kHz/24-bit, along with DSD audio at 2.8MHz and 5.6MHz. Gapless playback is available for compatible FLAC, WAV, ALAC and DSD material. Traditional compressed formats including MP3, WMA and AAC are also supported.
For vinyl playback, the DRA-900H incorporates a dedicated Moving Magnet phono equalizer with 2.5mV input sensitivity and an RIAA response of ±1dB from 20Hz to 20kHz. This allows compatible MM-equipped turntables to connect directly without requiring a separate phono preamplifier.
A 2.2-channel preamplifier output configuration includes two dedicated subwoofer outputs, making the receiver particularly suitable for stereo systems that require additional low-frequency extension. Four speaker terminals provide flexible loudspeaker connection, while Pure Direct mode can be selected when a simplified audio signal path is preferred.
