Denon PMA-3000NE Integrated Amplifier
The Denon PMA-3000NE is a premium 2-channel integrated amplifier engineered for high-performance Hi-Fi systems, combining powerful analog amplification with advanced high-resolution digital audio processing. Designed and manufactured at Denon’s Shirakawa facility in Japan, it delivers 80W + 80W into 8 ohms across 20Hz–20kHz and up to 160W + 160W into 4 ohms at 1kHz.
At the heart of the PMA-3000NE is Denon’s New UHC-MOS Single Push-Pull power amplifier circuit combined with a differential 1-stage amplifier architecture. The design is engineered to provide the current capability required to control a wide variety of loudspeakers while maintaining signal linearity and low distortion. Total harmonic distortion is rated at 0.01% at rated output minus 3dB into 8 ohms at 1kHz.
For digital playback, the PMA-3000NE incorporates four ESS ES9018K2M DAC devices together with Denon’s Ultra AL32 Processing and DAC master-clock design. Its asynchronous USB-B input supports 2-channel Linear PCM signals up to 384kHz/32-bit and DSD up to 11.2MHz, making the amplifier suitable for high-resolution computer-based audio systems. Three optical and one coaxial digital input are also provided, supporting Linear PCM up to 192kHz/24-bit.
Vinyl playback is supported through a dedicated phono equalizer compatible with both Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) cartridges. MM input sensitivity is specified at 2.5mV / 47k ohms, while MC sensitivity is 200µV / 100 ohms. The phono circuit provides an RIAA response of 20Hz–20kHz within ±0.5dB.
For listeners who prefer the shortest possible analog signal path, Analog Mode bypasses digital circuitry, while Source Direct bypasses the Bass, Treble and Balance control circuitry. Conventional tone adjustment remains available when required, with Bass adjustment of ±8dB at 100Hz and Treble adjustment of ±8dB at 10kHz.
The PMA-3000NE offers four analog RCA inputs including phono, a recording output, EXT.PRE input, USB-B digital input, three optical inputs and one coaxial input. Dual sets of gold-plated Speaker A/B terminals provide flexibility for loudspeaker installations and support bi-wiring configurations with compatible speakers.
