The Bowers & Wilkins ASW610XP is a high-performance powered subwoofer designed to deliver deep, powerful and controlled bass for premium hi-fi and home theatre systems. As the most powerful model in the ASW Series, the ASW610XP is particularly well suited to larger rooms and demanding entertainment systems where high-output low-frequency performance is required.

The ASW610XP features a 250 mm (10-inch) Paper/Aramid Fibre cone long-throw driver. The carefully engineered cone combines stiffness and accuracy with long excursion capability, allowing the subwoofer to move substantial amounts of air while maintaining controlled bass reproduction.

Powering the driver is a powerful 500W Class D amplifier. The amplifier provides substantial dynamic headroom and efficient operation, allowing the ASW610XP to deliver impactful bass for demanding movie soundtracks, music and gaming content.

The subwoofer uses an active closed-box enclosure. The sealed cabinet design helps produce tight and controlled low-frequency performance while keeping the overall enclosure relatively compact for a high-output 10-inch subwoofer.

The ASW610XP provides a 25 Hz–140 Hz ±3 dB frequency response, with the upper frequency limit adjustable according to the selected EQ setting. Its frequency range extends to approximately 18 Hz at -6 dB, providing deep bass reproduction for cinematic LFE effects and demanding music.

The Bass Extension control provides three selectable settings. Position A provides a -6 dB point at approximately 18 Hz, Position B at 23 Hz and Position C at 28 Hz. This allows the subwoofer to be optimised according to room characteristics, system requirements and listening preferences.

System integration is highly flexible, with RCA line-level input, speaker-level binding-post input and a 12V trigger input. The active fourth-order variable low-pass filter allows the crossover point to be adjusted when required, while the filter bypass function allows an AV receiver or processor to manage crossover duties.

Additional controls include bass roll-off alignment, phase switching and automatic signal sensing/standby. These features allow the ASW610XP to be integrated more accurately with the main speakers and listening environment.

The ASW610XP has a compact cabinet measuring approximately 325 mm × 325 mm × 348 mm without feet/spikes and grille. Including feet, spikes, grille and controls, the maximum dimensions are approximately 353 mm × 325 mm × 375 mm. The subwoofer weighs approximately 18.65 kg.

The cabinet is available in Matte Black and Matte White finishes, with Black or Grey grille options. Its refined design allows it to integrate into modern interiors while providing the powerful low-frequency performance expected from a premium subwoofer.
