BenQ W4100i 4K UHD 4LED Home Cinema Projector – 3200 ANSI Lumens with 100% DCI-P3, AI Cinema & HDR-PRO

The BenQ W4100i is a premium 4K UHD smart home cinema projector engineered for dedicated home theatres, high-end media rooms and cinematic living-room installations. Combining 3200 ANSI lumens of brightness, 100% DCI-P3 and 100% Rec.709 colour coverage, BenQ HDR-PRO processing and AI Cinema technology, it is designed to reproduce movies and streaming content with exceptional colour precision, contrast and detail.

The DLP projection system delivers 4K UHD resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels with 30-bit colour processing capable of reproducing approximately 1.07 billion colours. Its 4LED solid-state illumination system produces 3200 ANSI lumens and is paired with a specified 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio for strong image depth across both dark cinema environments and rooms with controlled ambient light.

BenQ CinematicColor technology enables 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 digital cinema colour gamut as well as 100% Rec.709 coverage. This wide colour capability makes the W4100i particularly suitable for film enthusiasts who want reproduction closer to professional digital cinema standards.

BenQ HDR-PRO incorporates Dynamic Tone Mapping, Dynamic Black, Global Contrast Enhancer and Local Contrast Enhancer technologies to optimise HDR reproduction. The projector supports HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG content, allowing dynamic HDR material to be reproduced with improved highlight detail, shadow definition and overall tonal balance.

AI Cinema Mode analyses image composition in real time and automatically adjusts parameters including HDR presentation, colour saturation, sharpness and picture characteristics according to the content being displayed. Built-in Noise Reduction also helps improve the appearance of compressed streaming material.

CinemaMaster video processing provides additional image optimisation tools including Color Enhancer, Pixel Enhancer 4K, Motion Enhancer 4K, Global Contrast Enhancer and Local Contrast Enhancer. These technologies allow fine control over detail enhancement, motion reproduction, colour and contrast for demanding home cinema installations.

Installation flexibility is a major strength of the W4100i. Its optical system combines a 1.15–1.50 throw ratio with 1.3x optical zoom. Vertical lens shift ranges from 0% to 60%, while horizontal lens shift provides up to approximately ±15% adjustment under the manufacturer’s specified vertical lens position. This allows significantly greater projector placement flexibility than systems relying only on electronic keystone correction.

For additional geometry correction, the projector provides 2D keystone adjustment of up to ±30 degrees both vertically and horizontally. This combination of optical lens shift, optical zoom and electronic geometry correction makes the W4100i suitable for both ceiling-mounted and custom home theatre installations.

Smart entertainment is provided through the supplied BenQ QS02 certified Android TV solution running Android 11. Compatible services include Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, YouTube and other Android TV applications. Google Cast, Google Assistant and Google Voice Search provide additional streaming and smart-control functionality.

The W4100i offers extensive AV connectivity with three external HDMI 2.1 inputs supporting HDCP 2.3. HDMI-1 and HDMI-2 support 4K at 60Hz with ALLM, while HDMI-3 accepts 4K at 120Hz input and processes it at 1080p/120Hz. An additional internal HDMI connection accommodates the Android TV dongle.

HDMI eARC provides multichannel audio return and supports compatible Dolby Atmos audio pass-through to an AV receiver, processor or soundbar. Optical S/PDIF digital audio output, USB connectivity, RS-232 control and a 12V trigger make the W4100i suitable for professionally integrated home theatre systems.

The long-life 4LED light source is rated for approximately 20,000 hours in Normal Mode and up to 30,000 hours in Eco Mode. BenQ India provides a 3-year onsite warranty, while the LED light source is covered for 3 years or 5,000 operating hours, whichever occurs first.
