Crown XLS 2002 2-Channel Power Amplifier

The Crown XLS 2002 is a powerful two-channel Class-D power amplifier designed for professional sound reinforcement, commercial AV systems, home theatre and demanding audio installations. It combines Crown’s efficient DriveCore technology with high power output and advanced DSP features in a lightweight rack-mount design.

The XLS 2002 delivers up to 1050 watts per channel at 2 ohms, 650 watts per channel at 4 ohms and 375 watts per channel at 8 ohms. In bridged mode, it can deliver up to 2100 watts at 4 ohms and 1300 watts at 8 ohms, providing excellent flexibility for different speaker configurations.

The amplifier provides a frequency response of 20 Hz–20 kHz with +0 dB/-1 dB tolerance and less than 0.5% THD. A damping factor greater than 200 helps provide accurate and controlled loudspeaker performance.

Crown’s DriveCore technology allows the XLS 2002 to deliver substantial power while maintaining a lightweight chassis. At approximately 4.9 kg, the amplifier is significantly lighter than many conventional power amplifiers with comparable output.

The XLS 2002 incorporates Peakx limiters to maximise output while helping protect connected loudspeakers. The integrated PureBand crossover system provides flexible crossover configuration for easier system integration.

Input connectivity includes XLR, 1/4-inch TRS and RCA inputs, providing compatibility with a wide range of professional audio equipment, AV processors, mixers and source devices.

The amplifier features an upgraded LCD display and enhanced DSP capabilities, including band-pass filtering for each channel. Selectable input sensitivity, security settings, sleep mode and remote power triggering provide additional flexibility for professional installations.

An efficient forced-air cooling system helps prevent excessive thermal buildup during demanding operation. The standard rack-mount form factor allows the XLS 2002 to be easily integrated into professional equipment racks and AV cabinets.
