Crown XLS 1502 2-Channel Power Amplifier

The Crown XLS 1502 is a professional two-channel Class-D power amplifier designed for high-performance sound reinforcement, home theatre, commercial AV and custom audio installations. It combines Crown’s efficient DriveCore technology with high output power, advanced protection and flexible system configuration in a lightweight chassis.

The XLS 1502 delivers up to 775 watts per channel at 2 ohms, 525 watts per channel at 4 ohms and 300 watts per channel at 8 ohms. When operated in bridged mode, the amplifier can deliver up to 1550 watts at 4 ohms and 1050 watts at 8 ohms, making it suitable for a wide variety of loudspeaker configurations.

The amplifier provides a frequency response of 20 Hz–20 kHz with +0 dB/-1 dB tolerance and less than 0.5% THD. Its high damping factor helps provide controlled and accurate loudspeaker performance across the operating range.

Crown’s DriveCore technology provides efficient power amplification while keeping the amplifier lightweight. The XLS 1502 weighs approximately 3.9 kg, making it convenient for rack-mounted installations and portable professional systems.

The XLS 1502 incorporates Peakx limiters that help maximise amplifier output while protecting connected loudspeakers. The integrated PureBand crossover system provides flexible crossover configuration for easier integration with subwoofers and full-range loudspeakers.

The amplifier provides XLR, 1/4-inch TRS and RCA inputs, allowing it to connect easily to mixers, AV processors, preamplifiers and other professional audio equipment. Speaker outputs are provided through Speakon and binding-post connections.

An integrated LCD display provides convenient access to amplifier settings and monitoring information. Additional features include selectable input sensitivity, security settings, sleep mode and remote power triggering for professional system integration.

The amplifier uses an efficient forced-air cooling system to help maintain stable operating temperatures during demanding operation. Its standard rack-mount design allows easy installation into professional equipment racks and AV cabinets.
