LiYA CS80 8″ In-Ceiling Speaker
The LiYA CS80 is a high-output passive in-ceiling speaker designed for larger rooms, premium home theatre systems and architectural Hi-Fi installations. Its two-way driver configuration combines a large 8-inch Kevlar cone woofer with a 1-inch silk-dome tweeter, providing stronger low-frequency extension and higher output capability than smaller conventional ceiling speakers.
The 8-inch Kevlar woofer is designed to move a greater volume of air while maintaining a rigid and lightweight diaphragm. This helps the CS80 deliver controlled mid-bass and deeper low-frequency reproduction, with a manufacturer-specified frequency response extending down to 52Hz.
A 1-inch silk-dome tweeter complements the Kevlar woofer with smooth high-frequency reproduction up to 20kHz. Together, the two drivers provide a broad frequency range suitable for music, movie soundtracks, surround effects and general distributed-audio applications.
The CS80 has a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and a sensitivity of 90dB at 1W/1m. LiYA specifies a power-handling range of 30 to 120 watts, allowing the speaker to be partnered with a wide variety of suitable AV receivers and stereo amplifiers.
For architectural installation, the speaker measures approximately 275 × 120mm and requires a 258mm ceiling cut-out. LiYA’s current specification sheet lists a 126mm mounting depth. A heavy-duty clamp mounting system provides secure installation into suitable ceiling structures.
A paintable bezel-free magnetic grille is included, allowing the CS80 to sit discreetly within the ceiling while maintaining a clean architectural appearance. Its larger 8-inch driver and higher power capability make it particularly suitable for large living spaces, dedicated home theatres and installations requiring greater output from an in-ceiling loudspeaker.
