The Bowers & Wilkins 606 S3 is a premium stand-mount bookshelf speaker from the Performance 600 Series, designed to deliver detailed, spacious and accurate sound for stereo music and home theatre systems. Combining advanced driver technology with a compact cabinet, the 606 S3 offers an impressive balance between performance, size and versatility.

At the heart of the 606 S3 is a 165 mm (6.5-inch) Continuum™ cone bass/midrange driver. The composite Continuum cone is engineered to avoid abrupt transitions in driver behaviour, helping deliver a more open and neutral presentation. This allows voices, instruments and musical details to be reproduced with excellent precision and transparency.

High-frequency reproduction is handled by a 25 mm (1-inch) Titanium Dome™ tweeter. The tweeter uses Bowers & Wilkins’ Decoupled Double Dome technology to provide smooth, detailed and extended high-frequency reproduction. An acoustically transparent tweeter grille mesh further helps preserve clarity and resolution.

The 606 S3 features a 2-way vented-box enclosure incorporating Bowers & Wilkins’ Flowport™ technology. The port design helps reduce turbulence and supports controlled bass performance, allowing the speaker to produce impressive low-frequency output for its compact stand-mount format.

The 606 S3 provides a 52 Hz–28 kHz frequency response ±3 dB, with a wider -6 dB frequency range extending from approximately 40 Hz to 33 kHz. Its 88 dB sensitivity makes it suitable for a wide range of compatible stereo amplifiers and AV receivers.

The speaker has an 8-ohm nominal impedance with a minimum impedance of approximately 3.7 ohms. Bowers & Wilkins recommends an amplifier power range of 30–120 watts into 8 ohms for unclipped programme material.

The 606 S3 also benefits from upgraded speaker terminals derived from the higher-end 700 Series. Their improved layout provides a cleaner signal path between the amplifier and the speaker.

The cabinet measures approximately 344 mm high × 189 mm wide × 300 mm deep, while the depth increases to 328 mm including the grille and terminals. With a net weight of approximately 7.05 kg per speaker, the 606 S3 is designed to work with a suitable speaker stand for optimum positioning.

The 606 S3 is available in Black, White and Oak finishes, with a Red Cherry finish available in selected markets. Matching grille options provide additional flexibility for different interior styles.
