DALI OPTICON 8 MK2 Floorstanding Speaker (Per Pair) – Premium 3½-Way Hi-Fi Loudspeaker for Large

The DALI OPTICON 8 MK2 is the powerhouse of the OPTICON MK2 series, designed as a premium floorstanding loudspeaker for large listening rooms and high-performance stereo systems. Supplied as a pair, it combines exceptional low-frequency bandwidth, high output capability and dynamic accuracy with detailed midrange reproduction and extended high-frequency performance.

The speaker uses two 8-inch low-frequency drivers and a dedicated 6½-inch midrange driver, all featuring DALI’s SMC-based motor technology and wood-fibre cone construction. This combination is designed to deliver powerful, controlled bass together with a detailed and natural midrange.

At the top of the speaker is DALI’s Hybrid Tweeter, combining a 29 mm soft-dome tweeter with a 17 × 45 mm planar element. The hybrid design is engineered to combine the clarity and dynamics of a dome tweeter with the extended high-frequency detail and smoothness of a planar driver.

• Patented SMC Technology: DALI’s Soft Magnetic Compound motor system is designed to reduce hysteresis and electro-acoustic distortion for improved detail and a cleaner midrange.
• Wood Fibre Cone Technology: The paper-pulp and wood-fibre cone construction is designed to minimise break-up resonance while maintaining accurate and coherent bass and midrange reproduction.
• Aerodynamic Dual-Flare Reflex Ports: The dual-flare bass-reflex port design is engineered to minimise turbulence and reinforce low-frequency performance.
• Rigid Cabinet Construction: A 25 mm thick front baffle and additional internal bracing help reduce unwanted cabinet and panel resonance.
• High Output Capability: With a maximum SPL of 112 dB and recommended amplifier power of 40–300 W, the OPTICON 8 MK2 is designed for powerful playback in large rooms.
