SpeakerCraft SC3-IC6 Series 3 6.5-Inch Premium In-Ceiling Speaker – AccuAim Toolless Architectural Speaker

The SpeakerCraft SC3-IC6 is a premium 6.5-inch in-ceiling architectural speaker designed for high-performance home theatre, dedicated listening rooms and whole-home audio systems. Part of the Series 3 Premium Toolless range, it combines a black Kevlar woofer with a large aluminum/magnesium dome tweeter to deliver powerful dynamics, detailed high frequencies and a spacious soundstage.

The SC3-IC6 features a 6.5-inch black Kevlar woofer designed for rigidity, controlled movement and accurate low/mid-frequency reproduction. The woofer is paired with an oversized 30 mm aluminum/magnesium dome tweeter, providing extended high-frequency detail and improved power handling.

The integrated AccuAim tweeter allows the high-frequency driver to be precisely aimed toward the listening position. This helps optimise the direct sound, phase accuracy and stereo imaging, particularly when the speaker is installed away from the ideal listening axis.

SpeakerCraft’s XMag extended pole-piece technology is designed to improve woofer linearity and accuracy, while the copper shorting ring helps reduce distortion, improve efficiency and smooth impedance characteristics. A selectable tweeter level control and voice switch provide additional flexibility for fine-tuning the sound to the room and installation.

Installation is simplified through the ViseLock toolless mounting system, allowing fast and secure installation without conventional tools. The metal frame provides a rigid mounting structure, while the paintable, rust-resistant grille allows the speaker to blend discreetly into the ceiling.

With a frequency range of 43 Hz–20 kHz, 90 dB sensitivity and recommended amplification of 50–145 watts, the SC3-IC6 is suitable for demanding architectural audio installations. Its 8-ohm nominal impedance also allows straightforward integration with a wide range of AV receivers and amplifiers.
