LiYA CSA80 8″ 15° Angled In-Ceiling Speaker (Per Unit) – Kevlar Woofer with Titanium Dome Tweeter

The LiYA CSA80 is a high-output passive angled in-ceiling speaker engineered for premium home cinema and architectural audio installations. Its specialised 15-degree angled driver architecture directs sound toward the primary listening position rather than firing straight down, making it particularly suitable for front LCR, surround and focused listening applications.

The two-way driver system combines a large 8-inch Kevlar cone woofer with a titanium dome tweeter. The rigid yet lightweight Kevlar diaphragm is designed to deliver deep, controlled bass and clear midrange reproduction, while the titanium tweeter provides detailed and articulate high-frequency performance.

LiYA specifies a frequency response of 52Hz to 20kHz, providing deeper low-frequency extension than smaller architectural ceiling speakers. Nominal impedance is 8 ohms, sensitivity is rated at 90dB at 1W/1m, and manufacturer-specified power handling is 30 to 120 watts.

The 15-degree angled baffle is particularly valuable in installations where speakers must remain in the ceiling but the acoustic image needs to be directed toward a seating position. This makes the CSA80 well suited to ceiling-mounted front left, centre and right channels, surround channels and large dedicated home cinema rooms.

For installation planning, current authorised-dealer documentation specifies overall dimensions of approximately 275 × 120mm with a 258mm ceiling cut-out. LiYA’s current official specification sheet contains conflicting dimensional data, so installers should verify the physical unit before final ceiling cutting.

A low-profile paintable magnetic grille is supplied, allowing the CSA80 to integrate discreetly into the surrounding ceiling while maintaining the directional benefits of its internally angled driver system.
