DALI ALTECO C-1 On-Wall Surround & Height Speaker (Per Pair) – 2-Way Dolby Atmos & DTS:X Speaker

The DALI ALTECO C-1 is a versatile 2-way speaker designed to provide both height-channel and conventional surround sound performance. Supplied as a pair, it can be used as an up-firing Dolby Atmos, DTS:X or Auro-3D height speaker, mounted high on a wall, or positioned close to the listening position as a rear or surround speaker.

The ALTECO C-1 combines a 4½-inch low-loss wood-fibre cone driver with a lightweight 21 mm soft-dome tweeter. DALI’s wood-fibre cone technology uses a combination of fine-grain paper and wood-fibre pulp to create a rigid, lightweight diaphragm with an uneven surface structure that helps minimise unwanted resonance.

One of the key features of the ALTECO C-1 is its Dual Sound Mode. A switch on the front of the speaker changes the dispersion behaviour between an upward/downward-firing configuration and a more direct sound mode. This allows the same speaker to be adapted to different positions and applications.

With a frequency response of 74–26,000 Hz (±3 dB), 83 dB sensitivity, 6 Ω nominal impedance and a maximum SPL of 103 dB, the ALTECO C-1 provides detailed and controlled reproduction for surround effects and height information. DALI recommends amplification between 40 and 100 watts.

The angled cabinet is specifically designed for height applications. When placed on top of front or rear speakers, the ALTECO C-1 can direct sound toward the ceiling to create reflected height effects for compatible immersive audio formats. It can also be wall-mounted as a conventional surround or height speaker.
