Description
BenQ V5010i 4K UHD RGB Triple Laser TV Projector
The BenQ V5010i is a premium 4K UHD RGB triple-laser ultra-short-throw projector designed to replace a conventional large-screen television with a cinematic projection experience. Combining 2500 ANSI lumens, exceptionally wide 95% BT.2020 colour coverage, BenQ HDR-PRO processing, integrated Android TV entertainment and a powerful 40W multi-way speaker system, it provides an all-in-one solution for premium living rooms and dedicated media spaces.
The V5010i uses DLP projection technology with a 3840 × 2160 4K UHD resolution and approximately 1.07 billion display colours. Its RGB laser architecture generates red, green and blue light directly, enabling exceptionally broad colour reproduction without relying on a conventional lamp-based illumination system.
BenQ CinematicColor technology provides 95% coverage of the BT.2020 colour space, 98% DCI-P3 and 100% Rec.709. This extremely wide colour capability makes the V5010i particularly well suited to modern 4K HDR movies and premium streaming content where accurate, saturated colours and wide-gamut reproduction are important.
BenQ HDR-PRO technology uses multi-stage light control and contrast optimisation to improve both bright and dark picture detail. The V5010i supports HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG, while HDR10+ dynamic metadata enables compatible content to optimise HDR characteristics on a frame-by-frame basis.
Filmmaker Mode is also provided to preserve the original cinematic characteristics of compatible content, including motion cadence, colour and dynamic range. 24p playback support allows film-based material to be displayed at its original cinematic frame rate.
With an ultra-short 0.25 throw ratio, the V5010i can produce a very large image while positioned close to the projection surface. BenQ specifies a clear-focus range of approximately 90 to 120 inches, making the projector particularly suitable for large-screen living-room installations where a conventional projector cannot be mounted several metres away.
Automatic 2D keystone correction provides vertical and horizontal adjustment of up to ±30 degrees, simplifying image alignment. For the best possible picture quality with an ultra-short-throw projector, pairing the V5010i with a suitable UST ambient-light-rejecting screen is recommended.
The integrated audio system delivers 40 watts of total output. Two 5W chamber speakers handle mid and high frequencies while two dedicated 15W woofers provide stronger bass response. BenQ specifies a maximum sound-pressure capability exceeding 90dB at one metre, allowing the projector to function as a self-contained entertainment system without immediately requiring an external soundbar.
For larger home theatre audio systems, HDMI eARC supports multichannel audio return and compatible Dolby Atmos pass-through. Optical S/PDIF output and a 3.5mm analog audio output provide additional connection options for external audio equipment.
Smart entertainment is provided by the included BenQ QS02 Android TV dongle. It provides access to compatible streaming applications including Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, YouTube and other Android TV services. Google Cast, Google Assistant and wireless projection from compatible devices are also supported. BenQ currently lists Android TV 11.0 as the available operating-system version for the QS02 platform.
The V5010i also offers advanced gaming capabilities. Input latency is approximately 17.9ms at 4K/60Hz, 13ms at 1080p/120Hz and as low as 5ms at 1080p/240Hz according to BenQ’s current detailed specification. Auto Low Latency Mode automatically optimises compatible gaming sources for responsive gameplay.
Connectivity is extensive, with three externally accessible HDMI inputs plus an internal HDMI connection for the Android TV dongle. One external HDMI connection supports HDMI 2.1 functionality for 4K/120Hz input that is processed to 1080p/120Hz output. Three USB Type-A connections cover media-reading, service and power functions.
The RGB laser light source eliminates conventional projector lamp replacement. BenQ’s current detailed specification lists a rated operating life of approximately 20,000 hours. In India, the V5010i carries a 3-year onsite projector warranty, while the laser light source is covered for 3 years or 15,000 operating hours, whichever occurs first.
