The Denon AVC-X4800H is a high-performance 9.4-channel AV receiver designed for premium home theatre, immersive cinema and high-fidelity entertainment systems. With nine discrete power amplifiers delivering 125 watts per channel, the AVC-X4800H combines substantial amplification with advanced audio processing, room correction and modern 8K video connectivity.
Its discrete amplifier section delivers 125W per channel at 8 ohms from 20Hz to 20kHz with 0.05% THD under 2-channel driven conditions. The amplifier supports speakers rated between 4 and 16 ohms, providing flexibility for a wide range of home theatre and Hi-Fi loudspeakers.
The AVC-X4800H supports immersive formats including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, Auro-3D and IMAX Enhanced. Its 11.4-channel processing capability provides additional flexibility beyond its nine built-in amplifier channels, allowing integration with external amplification for more advanced system configurations.
For music playback, Denon’s AL32 Processing Multichannel is combined with support for high-resolution audio formats including ALAC, FLAC, WAV and AIFF up to 24-bit/192kHz. HEOS Built-in, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Apple AirPlay 2 provide convenient access to network and wireless music streaming.
Audyssey MultEQ XT32 provides advanced room calibration using the supplied measurement microphone. The AVC-X4800H is also Dirac Live upgradeable, allowing users to add optional Dirac Live Room Correction and Dirac Live Bass Control capabilities for further acoustic optimization.
Four independent subwoofer outputs allow flexible multi-subwoofer system design and bass management. The receiver also provides 11.4-channel pre-outs, making it suitable for installations that combine the built-in amplification with external power amplifiers.
For video, the AVC-X4800H provides seven HDMI inputs and three HDMI outputs, with all seven HDMI inputs supporting 8K. HDMI 2.1 features include 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz pass-through, while HDCP 2.3, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG support make it suitable for modern displays, projectors, streaming devices and gaming systems.
