LiYA CS65 6.5″ In-Ceiling Speaker
The LiYA CS65 is a passive Hi-Fi in-ceiling speaker designed for discreet architectural audio installations where high-quality sound needs to integrate cleanly into the room. Its two-way driver configuration combines a 6.5-inch Kevlar cone woofer with a 1-inch silk-dome tweeter, providing balanced reproduction for music, home theatre and distributed audio systems.
The Kevlar cone woofer uses a lightweight yet rigid diaphragm designed to maintain control through the low and mid-frequency range. It is partnered with a 1-inch silk-dome tweeter for smooth high-frequency reproduction, giving the CS65 a manufacturer-specified frequency response of 60Hz to 20kHz.
With a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and a sensitivity of 90dB at 1W/1m, the CS65 is designed to work efficiently with a broad range of conventional stereo amplifiers and AV receivers. LiYA specifies a power-handling range of 30 to 100 watts per speaker.
The speaker uses a low-profile flush-mount design with a 225mm outer diameter and a 210mm ceiling cut-out. A paintable magnetic grille is included, allowing the installed speaker to blend discreetly into the surrounding ceiling finish. LiYA also specifies a professional clamp mounting system for secure installation in suitable ceiling materials.
The CS65 is suitable for stereo background music, whole-home distributed audio, media rooms and home theatre applications. In surround installations, it can also be used as an overhead ceiling channel where a discreet architectural loudspeaker is required.
