M&K Sound M40T Black Tripole Surround Speakers – Pair

The M&K Sound M40T Tripole is a compact, high-performance surround speaker designed specifically for home theatre systems where wide sound coverage and discreet installation are important. Supplied as a pair in Black Satin finish, the M40T combines direct-radiating and dipolar drivers to create an immersive surround sound field across a broad listening area.

The M40T uses M&K Sound’s proprietary Tripole technology, combining a front-mounted direct-radiating driver system with two side-mounted drivers in the same sealed cabinet. This unique arrangement provides a balance between precise imaging and spacious, diffuse surround effects.

The front section features a 1-inch coated silk dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet and a 4-inch coated glass-fiber woofer. These drivers provide clear dialogue, detailed effects and accurate midrange reproduction.

Two additional 3-inch polymer-coated textured-paper side drivers operate from the sides of the cabinet to increase sound dispersion. The combination of direct and side-firing drivers allows the M40T to create a broad and enveloping surround soundstage.

The M40T provides a frequency response of approximately 100 Hz–20 kHz, with an average in-room response of ±2 dB. Its 4-ohm nominal impedance and 85 dB sensitivity make it suitable for integration with compatible AV receivers and power amplifiers.

The speaker offers 80 watts of long-term IEC power handling and 50 watts rated power handling, with a recommended amplifier power range of 25–125 watts. This makes it well suited to compact and medium-sized home theatre systems.

M&K Sound’s Phase-Focused crossover operates at approximately 2.0 kHz and uses fourth- and second-order slopes. The crossover is designed to provide smooth integration between the drivers and maintain coherent sound across a wide listening area.

The M40T uses a sealed enclosure and incorporates shielded drivers. Gold-plated screw terminals provide secure connection and are compatible with suitable speaker cable and banana plugs.

Designed for direct wall installation, the M40T includes integrated rear mounting brackets, vibration-damping pads and mounting accessories. This allows the speakers to be installed securely while helping reduce unwanted cabinet-to-wall vibration.

With dimensions of approximately 19.5 × 20 × 12.2 cm including the grille, the M40T has a compact footprint that makes it particularly suitable for smaller rooms where larger surround speakers may be impractical.
