The Bowers & Wilkins HTM6 S3 is a premium center channel speaker from the 600 Series, designed to deliver exceptionally clear dialogue, vocals and detailed cinematic sound. Its compact cabinet makes it easy to position with a television, projection screen or home theatre furniture, while its advanced driver technology provides the clarity and accuracy expected from Bowers & Wilkins.
The HTM6 S3 features two 130 mm (5-inch) Continuum™ cone bass/midrange drivers. The Continuum cone uses a composite construction designed to avoid abrupt transitions in driver behaviour, helping deliver a more open, neutral and transparent presentation. This is particularly beneficial for reproducing voices, dialogue and musical instruments with precision.
High-frequency reproduction is handled by a 25 mm (1-inch) Titanium Dome™ tweeter. The tweeter features Bowers & Wilkins’ Decoupled Double Dome technology, providing high-resolution and smooth high-frequency reproduction. Its acoustically transparent tweeter grille further helps preserve clarity and detail.
The HTM6 S3 uses a 2-way vented-box design with Bowers & Wilkins’ Flowport™ technology. The rear Flowport helps reduce turbulence and allows the speaker to deliver controlled low-frequency performance from its compact enclosure.
The speaker provides a 72 Hz–28 kHz frequency response ±3 dB, with a wider -6 dB frequency range of approximately 42 Hz–33 kHz. Its 87 dB sensitivity and 8-ohm nominal impedance allow it to work with a wide range of compatible AV receivers and amplifiers.
Bowers & Wilkins recommends an amplifier power range of 30–120 watts into 8 ohms for unclipped programme material. This makes the HTM6 S3 suitable for a wide variety of home theatre amplification systems.
The HTM6 S3 also features upgraded speaker terminals derived from the company’s higher-end 700 Series. The revised terminal arrangement provides a cleaner connection path between the amplifier and speaker.
With dimensions of approximately 480 mm wide × 160 mm high × 255 mm deep for the cabinet, the HTM6 S3 is compact enough to fit conveniently into many home theatre setups while still providing the driver area required for powerful and intelligible center-channel reproduction.
The speaker is available in Black, White and Oak cabinet finishes, with matching grille options. This allows the HTM6 S3 to integrate easily into a range of modern home theatre and living-room interiors.
