Common questions
How many lumens do I need for a living room?
In a room with daylight or lamps on, look for 2,500 ANSI lumens or more. A darkened, light-controlled room can look excellent at 1,500 to 2,000 ANSI lumens, and lower brightness usually means better contrast.
What is the difference between laser and lamp projectors?
Laser light sources last roughly 20,000 hours with no lamp to replace and reach full brightness instantly. Lamp projectors cost less to buy but need a replacement lamp every few thousand hours.
How far should the projector sit from the screen?
That depends on the throw ratio. A standard throw model typically sits three to four metres back for a 100-inch image, while an ultra short throw sits centimetres from the wall. Send us your room size and we will confirm.
