LiYA CT65 6.5″ 100V / 8Ω In-Ceiling Speaker (Per Unit) – 80W RMS with Multi-Tap Transformer

The LiYA CT65 is a versatile 6.5-inch in-ceiling speaker designed for both commercial distributed-audio installations and residential sound systems. Its combination of a built-in 100V transformer and conventional 8-ohm bypass allows the same architectural speaker to be used with professional constant-voltage amplifiers as well as traditional home stereo amplifiers and AV receivers.

The two-way driver system combines a 6.5-inch polypropylene cone woofer with a 0.5-inch Mylar-dome tweeter. The polypropylene driver provides durable and controlled reproduction through the bass and midrange, while the lightweight Mylar tweeter handles high-frequency content for clear music and speech reproduction.

LiYA specifies a frequency response of 60Hz to 20kHz and a sensitivity of 90dB. The speaker is rated at 80W RMS when used in its conventional low-impedance configuration.

For commercial distributed-audio systems, an integrated knob-style 100V transformer provides selectable 15W, 10W, 5W and 2.5W power taps. This allows installers to optimise amplifier loading and sound levels across multiple ceiling speakers. An 8-ohm bypass position allows the CT65 to operate directly from a compatible conventional amplifier.

The CT65 requires a 210mm ceiling cut-out and LiYA’s current technical specification lists a 126mm mounting depth. A heavy-duty dog-leg clamp system secures the speaker into suitable ceiling material for a clean flush-mounted installation.

A low-profile paintable magnetic grille is included. Its bezel-free appearance allows the speaker to blend discreetly into residential, hospitality, retail, office and commercial interiors.
